Privacy policy for users of The Editor's Affairs (TEA)

I will keep copies of the Excel files that I send to you, including all customizations, for an indefinite period longer than seven (7) years. If you prefer me to delete the copies before then, please let me know in writing and I will delete the copies. I keep files on a password-protected computer, and I use Microsoft OneDrive for backup, which is also password-protected. Any business data that you enter into your TEA system remains local on your computer and is not accessible to me.

On rare occasions, you may choose to share Excel files that contain your business data with me in order to facilitate more efficient customizations and troubleshooting. Such sharing will be by mutual prior written agreement only, and your business data will be kept strictly confidential while I am implementing the customizations/troubleshooting and deleted from my computer and all backups immediately thereafter.

If you share with me any Excel files that contain business data, you accept that email transmission cannot be guaranteed to be secure as information could be intercepted, corrupted, lost, destroyed, or contain viruses. I do not accept any liability for errors or losses that arise because of email transmission.
